AMD is usually a number and a plus sign in the model name of your processor. This corresponds to speed in MHz Intel processor. If you go far enough, it really can exchange on the same plate.

For example, an AMD Athlon XP 2400 + is equivalent to a 2.4-GHz Athlon processor from Intel with the same number of cores.

I'm not sure that communication is grateful to the model, which I have given true, because I do not like AMD, but the naming convention.
